Ceylone Boothe Grooms
It was July 23 1993, when I woke up to the news that my strong, regal Great- Grandmother, Nini, passed away..She was 96. It was on that very day that I believe she sent me the love of my life, because that same day I met Lorenzo Grooms who upon meeting me, said to his, friend standing besides us, "I want to introduce you to my wife." We have been together ever since!
Sept. 26 1996, changed my life forever because I had the first of my 4 beautiful children. Justin 18, Elijah 16, Anthony 13 and Milan 8, are my WORLD! Living life through their eyes is such a joy. Movie nights (my excuse to eat loads of popcorn), family cooking competitions (my daughter is on a winning streak!), camping, and our Christmas in July celebrations ( a family tradition) are the best because of my kids.
March 23rd 2007, I lost my beautiful younger sister to cervical cancer. Upon her passing I realized the meaning of life. We are each put on this Earth to use our gifts from God to reach our full potential and to help others in the process. That is my life's mission, as the International Spokesperson for The Esther Project, a Global Women's Empowerment movement that encourages women to find their passion & live their purpose.
March 27th 2010, The Esther Project was born! What started as a phone conversation between two friends with aspirations to change the world, turned into an empowerment movement that stretches across the globe. Through our mission we have been able to help women battling drug addiction, chronic disease, domestic violence, sexual abuse and much more. I am constantly reminded of the importance of empowerment and my role on this Earth.
